Release on itch.io
Release!
I made this game to satisfy my curiosity: what if that other game, but the shapes were super annoying. I wasn't planning to do more than dump it on my website and forget about it, but I was nudged to put it on itch.
The game is not complete, and I don't promise to finish it. I'll leave a list of things I know I need to improve at the bottom of this post.
While I've worked in the games industry for nearly fifteen years, I've never done professional work in game design. This was an opportunity to get back to just slamming out games like I used to as a teenager, with a bit of the knowledge of design I've gleaned from working with the professionals. I think I've gotten a little better! I don't want to spoil the mechanics of the game, as I think discovery of its silliness is part of its charm, but I think you'll agree they're neat solutions to the problem that other game has, specifically: why is combining watermelons so disappointing.
I hope you spend a few minutes playing my game, and I hope you enjoy it while you do!
